2.       How do you feel about the overall idea of the store? What according to you was most attractive about it?
“The store overall was good the idea of art gallery look and presentation of each thing was what got my attention the most. Every area of the store had a different story. The most attractive according to me was two things the collections of the paintings and clocks.”
3.       People in Pakistan now prefer customized styles w.r.t to their own personas. Do you think and see interwood can deliver that to its audience?

“Yes interwood is doing a great job in developing styles of furniture. The type of furniture you normally don’t see in every house these days. They have some new designs and ideas. Yes interwood is delivering to the audience.”

Be You Own Hero

Some days you're just confused, your mind knows the answer but your body is just fearful to take any step. Your politeness can ruin you at times, can shatter your mental peace, the everyday fight you have with yourself can leave you bruised and exhausted. You know the truth, you want to say it but you know it can be disastrous, causing chaos.

With time you realize it's hard to be people's person. When people put their trust in you beyond your capacity, expect from you and you on the other hand, aren't the exact same person they see you for. IT IS HARD! Mainly, exhausting. But deep down you know you have to speak out the truth.
But hey, here's the thing about truth, it will leave you broken for a day, or two, a month or more but it will bring you peace. Not only will it heal you but the other person. Instead of all the false hopes its better to come out clean!

So don't be afraid, build up courage and say what you have to say, instead of waiting for the storm to pass, ruining everything that comes in way. Be your own hero and don't fail yourself!

رکشہ کہانی

رکشے سے اتر کر وہ جتنی جلدی گھر داخل ہوسکتی تھی اور دروازہ کی کنڈی لگا سکتی تھی اس نے کیا، آج اسے رکشے میں سفر کر کے واقعی خوف محسوس ہوا تھا۔ ایسا نہیں تھا اسے رکشوں میں سفر کی عادت نہیں تھی، وہ رکشوں میں سفر کرتے کرتے بڑی ہوئی تھی، اور نہ ہی اکیلے آنے جانے مین اسے خوف محسوس ہوا تھا۔

اسے کچھ دن پہلے یونیورسٹی سے کیے گئے رکشہ سواری کی یاد آگئی۔ میک اپ سے عاری چہرہ، لباس بھی ہر قسم کی عیاری سے پاک، سمٹے بال اور ڈوپٹے میں لپٹی وہ۔

“بھائی زمزمہ جانا ہے، کتنے پیسے لیں گے؟“
ڈھائی سو سن کر وہ مطمئن ہوگئی کیونکہ باقیوں کی نسبت یہ مناسب کرایہ تھا۔ رکشہ کا سفر جیسے آغاز ہوا، اسے ریویو مررز اپنی طرف مرتے محسوس ہوگئے تھے، آدھی شکل جو ڈوپٹے میں چھپی تھی وہ اب مکمل طور پر چھپ چکی تھی۔ اسے معلوم تھا وہ ایک معمولی شکل کی مالک تھی، مگر شکل معمولی ہو یا خاص معاشرے میں عموماً مردانہ رویہ اکثر اوقات ایسا ہی رہا ہے۔

اسے رکشہ کی رفتار بھی معمول سے ہلکی محسوس ہوئی۔ خیر وہ بھی سخت چہرے کے ساتھ بیٹھی رہی اور ہر بار کی طرح دل ہی دل میں دعائیں پڑھتی رہی۔ تھوڑا آگے بڑھ کر اسے اسے یہ اندازہ بھی ہوگیا تھا کہ رکشے والے نے راستہ بھی لمبا اختیار کیا ہے، جس پر اس نے ڈرائیور کو عارے ہاتھوں لیا تھا، راستوں کا علم ہونے کے باعث اسے بہت بار مشکلات سے بچنے میں آسانی ہوئی تھی۔

بے حد ہلکی رفتار اور ضرورت سے لمبے راستے کو طے کرنے کے بعد وہ اپنی منزل پر پہنچ تو گئی مگر کس عذاب سے گزر کر، یہ وہی جانتی ہے۔

پھر لوگ کہتے ہیں رکشہ تو عورتوں کی سواری ہے۔ ایسی سواری جس میں وہ تحفظ بھی محسوس نہ کریں؟

Start Healthy to Stay Healthy

Life begins from the day a child is conceived, not on the day the child is born.  Nestle "Start Healthy, Stay Healthy"  campaign sheds light on the importance of #First1000Days of life.

To raise awareness on this crucial matter, Nestle Pakistan along with The Digital Factory held a bloggers meet up on 12th September'15 at Pearl Continental., where prominent bloggers and key opinion holders were invited and educated regarding the severity of this issue.


Pre and post natal development have modulating effects on health later in life, told Dr Huma Fahim, who is medical advisor at Nestle Nutrition.  The #First1000Days (i.e. from conception until second year of life) are basically the determinants of the entire lifetime. For instance the height that your child has at the age of 2 is usually the half of what he will have as an adult. Also the majority of the brain development  is completed by the age of 2.


Waqar Ahmad, the Head of Corporate Affairs at Nestle Pakistan, said,

“Nestlé has an expertise in nutrition and believes it has a responsibility to share that expertise. We want to promote better health through good nutrition in the first 1,000 days of life. Research shows that children who don’t get proper nutrition in their early years can’t fully develop their physical and cognitive potential and are at an increased risk of poor health as adults.”

Also, It is very important to realize that infants must be fed on mother's milk only. No other milk or substitute helps in the development as effectively as mother's milk. A child can be fed on other substitutes only if prescribed by the doctor. According to researches, children who get adequate amount of nutrition; develop fully and are at a lower risk of suffering from health related issues as an adult.


 The purpose of the event was not to only inform a few people of the importance of #First1000Days instead it is necessary to forward this information for a healthier society!

She learnt to smile with the world and laugh with people who didn't mean anything to her. She mastered in fake smiles and excelled at normal talks.

She learnt only a few mattered and they didn't need you perfect all the time. They understand the sadness in your eyes even when you laugh.

She learnt that this was not being hypocrite, it's just that she wasn't ready for meaningless drama in life.

Toyota Goes Grand!

Being the biggest vehicle manufacturing, Toyota also joined the digital bandwagon recently and held its first ever bloggers event  on 22nd August’15 at its plant at Port Qasim. Many bloggers and online influencers were invited to the grand event.


The excitement began from the very cool invite by the company,  
On the big day, as the bloggers reached the company's head office they were warmly welcomed by the Toyota IMC personnel from Pakistan and Japan. Initially the bloggers were briefed  regarding the company's policies and the safety protocols. After some scrumptious lunch, a detailed presentation started which mainly focused Toyota Altis Grande which comes with brilliant fuel efficiency and some dynamic features.

The most interesting part the plant visit. We got to see all the manufacturing process involved in car making, from the assembling to the paint shop and then the final outcome.


Then came the most exciting part of the event, test drive of Toyota Altis Grande and Fortuner. This test drive gave them on hand experience of the brilliant vehicles.


And yes there is more, towards the end of the event there was dinner arranged by Toyota on CRUISE! All in all it was a great event pulled together by Team Toyota!

نانا نانی کی یاد میں۔۔۔

انسان بھی بے حد عجیب ہوتا ہے، ہر وقت اپنے آپ سے لڑ رہا ہوتا ہے۔ اکثر تو اپنے آپ احساسات سے لڑ لیتا ہے اور کبھی اس کے احساسات جیت جاتے ہیں اور اس پر حاوی ہو جاتے ہیں۔
زندگی کے جھمیلوں میں شاید نانا نانی کی یادوں کو وقتی طور پر بھول ضرور جاتی ہوں مگر جب انکی یاد آتی ہے تو دل ہر چیز سے اچاٹ ہو جاتا ہے۔ آج نانی کو اور پھر ٢٤ کو نانا کو اس دنیا سے رخصت ہوئے تیرہ سال ہوجائیں گے مگر آج بھی ان کے ساتھ گزرے پلوں کی مہک مجھے بے حد عزیز ہے۔
جب ان کا انتقال ہوا تو میں بہت چھوٹی تھی، زندگی کو، لوگوں کو، محبت کو شاےد سمجھنے کی اہل نہ تھی۔ کبھی کبھار میں سوچتی ہوں کہ کاش مجھے ان کا سایہ دیر تک ملتا مگر الله بہترین منصوبے بنانے والا ہے۔
نانا نانی کی وفات کے بعد ہم نے لاہور جانا کم کردیا، اب تو شاید کوئی بے چینی بھی نہیں ہوتی، ورنہ بچپن میں گرمیوں کی تعطیلات لاہور ہی گزرا کرتی تھیں۔
آج بھی مجھے یاد ہے، نانا عصر کے بعد قرآن پڑھا کرتے تھے اور ہم کزنز کو ہر وقت کھیلتا کودتا دیکھ کر کہا کرتے تھے “یہ جوڑی نامعقولوں کی لاحول ولا“، یا پھر ہماری شیطانیوں پر کوئی شعر سنا دیا کرتے تھے۔
گھر کے سامنے ہی بازار تھا، ہر دوسرے دن شام کو کھیل کود کے بعد نانا کے سامنے جلیبیوں اور سموسوں کی فرمائش ڈال دینا اور انھیں کھا کے بھی الگ خوشی ہوتی تھی۔ نانا ہمیشہ “فوکس“ ٹوفی کھایا کرتی تھے، جسکا ڈبہ وہ اپنی الماری میں رکھا کرتے تھے اور شاید یہی وجہ ہے کہ مجھے بھی آج فوکس پسند ہے۔ خیر جب جب وہ الماری کھولا کرتے تھے، تب تب ہم فوکس کھانے کی فرمائش کرتے تھے، جسے وہ پورا کرتے تھے،
لیکن سب سے زیادہ مجھے نانی کی یاد آتی ہے، میں نے ایک سال میں ان کی صحت کو گرتا دیکھا ہے۔ نانی کو کینسر نے ایک سال میں ہی نڈھال کر دیا۔
نانی نے میرے بہت نخرے اٹھائے ہیں، کوئی لاھور سے کراچی آئے جائے اس کے ہاتھ میرے لئے کپڑے سی سی کر بھیجنا، اور جب ہم لاہور جاتے تھے تو انکی الماری کے ایک خانے میں میرے لئے کپڑے ہوا کرتے تھے، جو انھوں نے میرے لئے سیئے ہوتے تھے۔ میرے علاوہ ہم سب بچوں کے نخرے اٹھانا اور اچھی اچھی باتیں بتانا۔
آج بھی مجھے ٢٠٠٢ کا جون جولائی یاد ہے، چونکہ نانی کو چلنے پھرنے میں دقت ہوتی تھی تو روز رات کھانے کے بعد ہم سب بچے بڑے مل کر نانا نانی کے کمرے میں محفل جماتے تھے۔ بچپن کا دور تھا میں بھی بڑھ چڑھ کر لطیفے سنایا کرتی تھی۔ سب خوش ہوتے تھے، نانی بھی۔ ہماری واپسی سے ایک رات قبل نانی نے سب کے سامنے مجھ سے کہا، “میری بیٹی بن جاؤ۔“ جس کا جواب اقرار تھا، اور پھر انھوں نے سب کزنز کو کہا “آج سے یہ تمھاری چھوٹی پھوپھو ہے۔“ آج بھی کوئی چھوٹی پھوپھو یا ماموں بناسپتی بہن کہتے ہیں تو صرف نانی کی یاد ہی آتی ہے۔
آج بھی انہی طرح کے دنوں میں سے ایک دن ہے، انسان کی زندگی کی بےثباتی کا کسی کو کیا معلوم، صرف یادیں ہی تو پیچھے رہ جاتی ہیں۔

بارش۔۔۔

آج وہ خوش تھی, اسے ایسی بارش پسند تھی. بجلی بھی چمکے جارہی تھی مگر آج وہ اسے ڈرا نہیں رہی تھی. بارش کی باریک کنیوں کے ساتھ ہلکی ہلکی ہوا بھی اس کا چہرہ چوم رہی تھی. وہ بارش کی دیوانی تھی اور آج بے انتہا انتظار کے بعد بادل برس رہے تھے. کبھی کبھار انسان کچھ بھی سوچنا نہیں چاہتا, بس بنا کچھ سوچے, بنا کچھ سمجھے محسوس کرنا چاہتا ہے. اور آج شاید وہ یہی کر رہی تھی.

The holy month of Ramazaan not only brings religious harmony but a lot of well being for people around us.  People share happiness among others whether they're related by blood or not. It's agreed, without sharing there's no joy. Keeping in mind the fact, Olpers Milk started a beautiful campaign this Ramzaan, #OlpersMeherbaan.

The soul idea was to share iftaar with the less privileged people around us. Almost 25,000 families were reched under this campaign. The Olpers collection hubs were set in the three major cities, i.e: Karachi, Lahore and Rawalpindi, with location/areas varying each day, throughout the month.


This campaign was widely supported on social media platforms as well.








The volunteers despite the rough weather conditions and in the state of fasting worked their best to spread happiness.
Though the month of Ramazaan has ended but let's not put an end to this spirit and keep sharing.

‪#‎LightingUpLives‬ with Pepsi


#LightingUpLives has become a very prominent campaign by Pepsi. Successfully reaching and working on its phase 2 in the blissful month of Ramzan.

This campaign has been activated from March 2015, and reached a level where it doesn't need an introduction. With the new TVC running, the campaign has hit the masses and can be made even more effective if all people come together and donate generously for the cause and help spreading lights in the lives of the less privileged.

The social media platforms of Pepsi Pakistan are also playing their significant role; updating regarding the progress, motivating people and as well as praising its volunteers who are doing a great job even in this burning hot weather.

Team Pepsi along with Liter of light Pakistan has actually made a difference in Mohalla Ali Pura, Khaliq Abad, Khushab District. The team along with the volunteers installed the solar powered lights made with Pepsi.

Huawei P8 [Review]

انسان

انسان کو الله نے جتنی نعمتوں سے نوازا ہے اور کسی مخلوق کو اتنا شرف نہیں بخشا، مگر اتنا آزاد ہونے کے بعد بھی انسان قید ہے۔ انسان بلندیوں پہ ہوتے ہوئے بھی پستیوں میں ہے۔ مسکراتے ہوئے بھی 
آنسوؤں میں ہے۔ انسان روشنیوں میں ہوتے ہوئے بھی اندھیروں میں ہے۔

تیز رفتار میں چلتے ہوئے بھی ہلکا ہے۔ شور میں ہوتے ہوئے بھی خاموشیوں میں ہے۔ دال کھاتے ہوئے سوچتا ہے مرغ مسلم کیوں نہیں ملا؟ یہ نہیں سوچتا کتنوں کو یہ بھی نصیب نہیں ہوتی۔ اردو آتی ہے مگر سوچتا ہے مجھے انگریزی کیوں نہیں آتی؟ یہ نہیں سوچتا کہ انگریزوں کے علاوہ بھی کسی کو پیدائش سے نہیں آتی۔ مری گھومنے جائے گا تو سوچے گا یورپ کیوں نہیں؟ یہ نہیں سوچتا کتنے لوگ زندگی بھر اپنی گلی کوچوں سے نہیں نکل پاتے۔ کوئی پرواہ کرے تو مزید چاہتا ہے، یہ نہیں سوچتا کہ کتنوں کو تو کوئی پیار سے بھی نہیں پکارتا۔ کوئی محبت سے بات کرتا ہے تو شک کرتا  ہے ، جو پرواہ نہیں کرتا اس کے پیچھے بھاگتا ہے۔

نسان دل و دماغ کی عجیب و غریب کشمکش میں مبتلا ہے۔ ابھی قدم رکھنا سیکھتا نہیں ہے اور چھلانگ لگانے کی تیاری کر رہا ہوتا ہے۔

انسان ہر وقت اور، مزید کی بھوک میں رہتا ہے، جو بھوک کبھی نہیں مٹ سکتی۔ پلیٹ مین جو ہے اسے نہیں کھاتا ۔


اتنا خوشقسمت ہونے کے باوجود کیوں ہے انسان ایسا؟

When in doubt, POUT!

Women all around the globe follow fashion, trends and keep themselves updated and up to date.


If the story goes this way let me bring you all pretty ladies very interesting news, POUT. Yes what you love to do, now you can wear it too! Thanks to Asma Sultan she brings in a joyful collection of lip colors named POUT.

Starting off with three lip shades here she has a complete collection and the best part is, the lip colors are suitable for Pakistani weather, long lasting and won’t smudge! (Oh yes! I ate all the delicious food and it was still there).



Yes this all happened on 22nd April at Gloria Jeans (SMHS). Tons of girl talk, food and most importantly pictures and pictures. All the ladies got to pick a shade and test it, and the perk was we were to keep it, yes it is ours! For me there was a perfect add on, I found my pink. I have never found a perfect pink shade for me until now, POUT gave me the perfect pink shade for me.

And that's a wrap for #TFPW15!

Pakistan's fashion industry has grown over past few years at a racy pacey speed. Beginning from formal to pret wear now the fashion industry has spread its wings in almost every region, every season. Telenor Fashion Pakistan Week 2015 is such an example, bringing together the colours of spring under one roof.

#TFPW15 started with a bang on 31st March at Pearl Continental Hotel. Great designers were lined up for the four day event. Beginning from Nida Azwer till the finale of Shamael Ansari, each dress reflected colours of spring and a mix of joy.

Designers included: Nida Azwer, Sania Maskatiya, Madiha Raza, Sadaf Malaterre, Fahad Hussayn, Zaheer Abbas, Sanam Chaudri, Abdul Samad, YBQ, Wardah Saleem, HSY, Aamna Aqeel, Deepak Perwani, Sonya Battla, Shamael Ansari and many more.

Each designer displayed their own side of spring. From whites and peaches to blues and blacks each hue depicted a different theme, a different story. These colour not only rocked the ramp but social media was swept by them too, thanks to digital media team of Mind Map. Summing it all up #TFPW15 not only showcased established designers but also gave a warm welcome to brand new designers to put forward their talent.
